Raw Material Evaluation

The safety evaluation of a product always begins with an in-depth understanding of the raw materials. We assess the naturalness, sustainable origin, processing method, active matter, quality, usage levels for rinse-off or leave-on, pH range tolerance, preservation systems, regulatory information, scientific data, clinical trials, certifications, allergenic potential and various other criteria to reach a consensus on whether an ingredient is safe and contains the necessary benefits to include it in a formulation.

Finished Product Tolerance

Following substantiation of each raw material we will then assess the safety of the finished product. The product will be tested in-house by our team and then externally by a group of trialists who have offered their services. This external group includes people of all genders, ethnicities, ages, scalp types & hair textures. Our finished products also undergo third party, independent, laboratory testing for safety & stability, to ensure the product remains safe and active for its entire shelf life.

CPSR Testing

We take the safety and quality of our products seriously. That's why we go the extra mile by subjecting all of our cosmetic products to thorough CPSR testing. CPSR, or Cosmetic Product Safety Report, is a comprehensive assessment that evaluates the safety and compliance of cosmetic products before they are made available to consumers. What sets us apart is that our CPSR tests are conducted by trusted third-party experts, ensuring transparency and authenticity of the results. This independent evaluation guarantees that our products meet the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. Product Monitoring

We continue to monitor our products following release to the market. All feedback is promptly assessed and improvements made if required.  Our lab will retest to ensure a product continues to be safe.  It is not unusual for a small percentage of the population to develop an allergic reaction to a single ingredient that is otherwise perfectly safe for the rest of the population.
