Raw Material Evaluation

At Holistic Hair, product safety begins with a comprehensive evaluation of every raw material we use. Each ingredient is assessed for its natural origin, sustainability, and processing method. We review its active matter, quality grade, usage levels for rinse-off or leave-on formulations, pH tolerance, preservation system, regulatory compliance, scientific evidence, clinical trials, certifications, and allergenic potential.

This rigorous evaluation ensures every ingredient is safe and delivers genuine benefits when included in our formulations.

Finished Product Tolerance

After raw material validation, we conduct in-house safety assessments of each finished product. Our team collaborates with an external group of volunteer trialists representing a range of genders, ethnicities, ages, scalp types, and hair textures.

All products are subjected to third-party lab testing to confirm safety, stability, and shelf-life performance.

CPSR Testing

We proudly conduct Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR) for every formula. This is a mandatory and thorough assessment that ensures each product complies with international cosmetic regulations and is safe for consumer use.

Unlike some brands, our CPSR tests are carried out by independent third-party experts, ensuring transparency, credibility, and customer trust in our commitment to safety.

Product Monitoring

Once released to market, our products continue to be monitored for performance and safety. Feedback is reviewed by our lab team, and if necessary, reformulation or further testing is carried out.

We recognise that a small portion of the population may react to ingredients that are otherwise considered safe, and we take each case seriously and with care.
